Internet questions
- Do you use The Internet?
- Are children allowed to use The Internet at school in your country?
- Do you think that The Internet is useful for study?
- Have you ever used The Internet to buy something?
- Are there any dangers of buying things online?
Sample answers
Do you use The Internet?
Yes, all the time, probably too much! I use it for work, for staying in touch with friends, and for practically everything else, from checking bus times to learning new recipes.
Are there any dangers of buying things online?
Yes, there are a few. The obvious one is fraud: fake websites that take your money and never send anything. There's also the risk of your card details being stolen, so I only buy from well-known sites and avoid public Wi-Fi when paying.

Useful words and phrases

Common mistakes
- Answering "yes, I use it" and stopping.
- Being too general ("it is useful for many things"); name the things.
- Writing "The Internet" with a capital T is fine, but say "online" more often; it sounds natural.
